Hi! We are a family living in Venice, Italy, and we are looking for an English-speaking babysitter to join us and become part of our family. This would be our first experience with an English speaking babysitter, although we have always had help from Italian babysitters. We have been thinking for some time that it would be a wonderful experience, especially for our older daughter, who is 5½ and will start primary school in September. One of our main motivations is to give her the opportunity to become familiar with and enjoy speaking English in her everyday life. We would ideally need help Monday to Friday, approximately from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

The afternoons could vary depending on the girls’ schedules. For example:

* Picking the girls up from school, spending some time outside playing with their friends, and then coming home around 5:30–6:00 pm.
* Picking up one of the girls and taking her to her extracurricular activities.
* Staying with the daughter who doesn’t have an activity while one of the parents takes the other daughter to hers.
* From around 6:00 pm onwards, one of the parents will always be at home, and we would appreciate some help with the evening routine: dinner, shower, getting ready for bed and tidying up toys.

It would also be a great plus if you were occasionally available in the morning when one of the girls is sick and we are unable to take time off work.
