I am a Canadian. I have a professional Nanny's Diploma. I have been living in Italy since 1990. I am the mother of two young adults. Presently I teach English. I own a car and have an Italian driver's license. I am a non smoker.
I am looking for a daytime live out position. I would greatly prefer not to do evenings or weekends. I could do the child's meals and laundry, but not general household chores.
I love children and enjoy working with them. I'm sensitive and patient but also firm when required. I'm highly responsible and attentive to the parents' requests. I have a long experience as a private Nanny: I worked in Toronto, London, and Milan, as well as for Club Med's Mini Club in Mexico and the Domenican Republic.
I do many hands-on type of art activities, such as homemade playdough, painting with many materials other than classic paint, to mention just a few crafts. I teach songs and their actions. I take children through the steps of baking cookies, then let them eat their creations! I read a lot to them and encourage those old enough to read aloud. I enjoy taking them outdoors, exploring local parks and when possible involving them in social activities such as baby/child gym, library booktime, swimming classes, etc.
I don't just babysit, I help my charges grow to become fully rounded people.
