Iones Maria, giovane ragazza alla pari a Fabro

Hi!
I'm twenty-nine and I'm from Rome, currently I live in Turin, even though in the last three months I worked in a social project in Bucharest, Romania.
I've 4 older siblings and even 7 nephewes, whom I took care of throughout my entire life. During my highschool years I worked as a babysitter and as a school tutor for a few families and I also volunteered at a social house for single mothers. I attendend a Agesci scout group till I was 17. Here the activities included organizing games and entertaining the youngests. After high school, I gradueted in Anthropology (Università La Sapienza di Roma) and Pedagogy (Università degli studi di Torino). During college, I attended an internship at the Capodarco Community for disabled people in Rome and volunteered for almost two years at the ASAI association in Turin as tutor in afterschool activities.
Three years ago I did the International Italian Civil Service in panciu, Romania, working in a day-center for disadvantage children. This gave me the possibility to grow as a child-carer, since my duties included activities of literacy, not formal education and creatives labs.
I think it's important that the kids learn while having fun and that there is always should be a dialogue between them and adults!
