My name is Sharon, and I'm interested in working as a nanny in the Rome area, Monteverde or nearby . I have worked in many different positions with children. After I earned my degree, Bachelors Degree in Communications from Bowling Green State University in Ohio, I worked as a middle school teacher in Cleveland, Ohio.
My last position, as a nanny, was for a family in Detroit Michigan. I worked as a live in nanny for the McKenzie family. I cared for their 3 year old twin boys, Kalen and Karson, while their parents were going through a difficult period, caring for their oldest son, KJ, who was undergoing chemotherapy and a bone marrow transplant at the Children's Hospital in Ann Arbor, Michigan. My responsibilities included; bathing and dressing, planning their daily activities, creating fun recreational activities, maintaining a clean and safe environment, planning and preparing nutritional meals, and preparing them for bedtime. I also performed light housekeeping duties and ran errands when needed.
I left that position to teach kindergarten for disadvantaged children in Cleveland, Ohio.
Also in this position my duties were; to create a safe, fun, loving and educational environment and ensuring that their personal needs were met.
After my return to Rome, in 2015, I taught at the pre school , Passi con Bimbo, where I taught children ages 3-5 with the use of music, songs, rhythms, poetry and learning games to help them develop their English at an early age.
I also taught English to children 4-16 years, including English summer camps in Abruzzo, Belluno and Treviso, where the children had opportunities to play sports, learning games, and to participate in theater activities, such as acting, directing and creative arts.
I gained most of my childcare experience raising my son, Jason, who is now 22 years old and a professional rugby player for Alghero, Sardegna Rugby club.

The most important message I tried to pass on to the children was, love yourself!
