Mila, babysitting a Roma

I am a 21 year old woman from Copenhagen, living in Trastevere, Rome. I was born in Australia and lived in the states as a small child. I grew up bilingual, in a huge multi cultural family having both English and Danish as my mother tongue. I am fun loving, playful and enthusiastic, I love to read, learn and play. I'm very active and enjoy running around and participating in activities with children. I have extensive childcare experience mostly from, caring for my 13 younger cousins, godson, and niece. I love caring for children, and I find it both fun and rewarding. I have spent countless hours babysitting. I know what to expect from different age groups, and how to care for, engage with and entertain children. I have also previously worked as a teacher for over a year in Copenhagen teaching students from ages 10 to 20. I have developed both communication and teaching strategies from this experience, and an understanding of how to effectively adapt to both individual needs and different age groups. Having English as one of my mother tongues, alongside teaching experience gives a great foundation for teaching the children English and furthering their skills. my teaching strategies, are very based on the individuals interests as I have found it the best way to encourage and engage students. finding topics to discuss, games to play, books to read and so on, makes the process of learning fun.
I am also currently learning italian, and am able to understand and communicate on a basic level.
