I have had a passion for working with kids ever since I can remember. I began babysitting a special needs child and his siblings at the age of 13 and this experience greatly touched my life. It was during this time I realized I had patience, consistency and creativity when working with kids. This continued into my college years where I worked in the infant room and preschool room at a daycare center. It was this desire that led me to seek a degree in Human Services focusing on Child Development and to become a mother. One of the most treasured memories I have is teaching my boys how to read and write. As an assistant preschool teacher at Gretchen's House Child Care Center in Ann Arbor, Michigan I learned how to teach children problem solving skills and enjoyed engaging the children's imagination through books, stories and play. I went on to nanny for a wonderful family I met at the childcare center. I found being a part of the children's day-to-day life fun and rewarding. Since then, I have gone on to lovingly nanny for two different families.
